Post-doctoral Researcher in Armenian Studies (m/f/x)

The ERC-funded project “The Challenge of Islam and the Transformation of Eastern Christian Normative Regimes, ca. 630-1100” (NOMOS), directed by Prof. Dr. Zachary Chitwood and housed at the Chair for Byzantine Studies within the Institute for Byzantine Studies, Byzantine Art History and Modern Greek Studies at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, is hiring three post-doctoral researchers for a period of four years each.

Post-doctoral Researcher in Coptic Studies (m/f/x)

Obermann International Fellowships (OIF)

The Obermann Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Iowa now offers flexible fellowships for international researchers and artists to develop collaborations and pursue independent work at our beautiful Iowa City campus. Obermann International Fellowships are funded by the University of Iowa's Obermann Center for Advanced Studies with generous additional support from International Programs and the Center for Social Science Innovation.

Brian Lanker Fellowship

Brian Lanker (1947–2011) was a Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist working in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. The scope and significance of his work is wide-ranging and impactful, with works exploring broad topics including the history of Black America, pop culture, athletics and Oregon history. 

John Nolen Research Fund

The John Nolen Research Fund, established through the generosity of the Nolen family, provides assistance to scholars to conduct research in the John Nolen Papers (#2903) and allied collections in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections (RMC) of the Cornell University Library. Any qualified researcher interested in the history of city and regional planning before 1950 with a project that can be augmented by using the Nolen Papers is eligible to apply.

Phil Zwickler Memorial Research Grants

Since 2002, Cornell University Library has been able to offer select scholars financial assistance for expenses incurred when they come to conduct research on sexuality with sources in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections (RMC). The Phil Zwickler Memorial Research Grants, made possible through the generosity of the Phil Zwickler Charitable and Memorial Foundation, have assisted numerous exciting projects. Applications are due by May 31. Awards will be made within a month, and research must be completed within a year.
