Cassius Marcellus Clay Postdoctoral Fellowship in United States environmental history

The Yale University Department of History invites applications for a Cassius Marcellus Clay Postdoctoral Fellowship in United States environmental history.  The fellow will be affiliated with Yale Environmental History and the Yale Environmental Humanities Initiative and is expected to participate in their activities and to teach one course during the two years of the fellowship. Salary is $58,000 plus benefits and a research budget.

Citizens from countries which have concluded an agreement with Latvia or offer scholarships for Latvian citizens and academic staff can apply for the Latvian state scholarships. To see countries, citizens of which are eligible to apply for the scholarships, look at the section ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS.

Only students, academic and research staff of foreign higher education institutions are eligible for the Latvian scholarship for participation in summer schools.

Jon B. Lovelace Fellowship in Folklife Studies (using the Alan Lomax Collection)

The John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress invites qualified scholars to apply for a post-doctoral fellowship for advanced research based on the Alan Lomax Collection. The Lovelace Fellowship, established in 2015 for the study of the Alan Lomax Collection, pays tribute to the 60-year friendship between philanthropist Jon B. Lovelace and James H. Billington, who served as Librarian of Congress from 1987-2015.

Joint Berlin-Jerusalem Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program

Two (2) Joint Post-Doctoral Fellowships are offered for highly qualified, early career postdoctoral researchers. Each fellowship is awarded for 24 months, starting on October 1, 2018, and consists of two phases:

  • Phase 1: 12 months of research at Freie Universität Berlin
  • Phase 2: 12 months of research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

(or vice versa)

The Postdoctoral Fellows will conduct their research projects under the joint supervision of experienced researchers from Freie Universität and the Hebrew University.

Justitia Amplificata Postdoctoral Fellowship in Political Theory/Political Philosophy

The Centre for Advanced Studies "Justitia Amplificata: Rethinking Justice _ Appplied and Global", funded by the German Research Council (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) and located at the University of Frankfurt with a branch at the Free University of Berlin is seeking to appoint up to three post-doctoral fellows in political theory/political philosophy for the academic year 2019/2020. The Fellows will be hosted by Frankfurt University at its Institute for Advanced Studies in Bad Homburg (near Frankfurt) and will be part of the Frankfurt academic community.
