Democracy Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation invites postdoctoral students who will be completing or will have recently completed a Ph.D. to apply for its Postdoctoral Democracy Fellowship. The Democracy Fellowships aim to support postdoctoral scholars whose research illuminates aspects of democratic governance in ways that are innovative and push the boundaries of their academic disciplines, whether political theory and philosophy, political science, sociology, law, or history.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Annual Fellowships

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies is pleased to offer fellowships to support significant research and writing about the Holocaust and related topics for projects that will benefit from a period of residence at the Museum and access to its resources. We welcome proposals from all relevant academic disciplines includingbut not limited to—anthropology, archaeology, art history, comparative genocide studies, film studies, geography, history, Jewish studies, law, material culture, philosophy, political science, and psychology.

AAUW International Postdoc Fellowships for Female Researchers

International Fellowships have been in existence since 1917. The program provides support for women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and who intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional career. A limited number of awards are available for study outside of the U.S. (excluding the applicant’s home country) to women who are members of Graduate Women International (see the list of GWI affiliates).

Seymour Gitin Distinguished Professorship in Near Eastern Studies at AIAR Jerusalem

The Albright is committed to engaging the next generation of researchers through its fellowships. Fellowship terms vary from one to up to 6 months and come with a stipend that is used in part for room/board at the Albright. Applications are open to students and scholars in Near Eastern studies from prehistory through the twenty-first century, including the fields of archaeology, assyriology, anthropology, biblical studies, art history, epigraphy, historical geography, literature, and religion.

Kingdon Fellowship at Wisconsin-Madison in Jewish and/or Christian Studies

The Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is pleased to offer two Robert M. Kingdon Fellowships for the academic year 2025-2026, to be awarded to scholars from outside the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Through a generous bequest from Robert M. Kingdon, the Kingdon Fellowship sponsors scholars working in the humanities in the historical, literary, artistic, and/or philosophical studies of Christian and/or Jewish religious traditions and their role in society.
