Mihaychuk Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Jaroslaw and Nadia Mihaychuk Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ukrainian Studies is granted to promising junior scholars to support significant, innovative research on topics pertaining to Ukraine. This fellowship is designed to bring early-career scholars to Harvard University for nine months of focused, independent research. Fellows enjoy access to Harvard's vast research resources and vibrant intellectual environment.

SALTO

Dieter Schwarz Courageous Research Grant

Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Russian Politics

The Harriman Institute seeks a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Russian Politics for a two-year appointment, starting July 1, 2024. The incumbent's responsibilities will be to conduct independent research in Russian Politics and to develop and coordinate policy seminars (AY 2024-2025) with Professors Timothy Frye, Joshua Tucker (NYU), Elise Giuliano, and Alexander Cooley. The Scholar is required to be in residence in the New York City area.

Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Ukrainian Studies

The Harriman Institute seeks a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Ukrainian Studies for a two-year appointment, starting July 1, 2024. Postdoctoral research scholars are expected to concentrate on their own research and writing, which should be focused on some aspect of contemporary Ukrainian life, politics, and/or international affairs; to teach a course of their own design in the spring semester of each of the two years; to give a public seminar/lecture on their research; and to be active participants in the Institute’s scholarly community and events.

Leon Levy Fellowship

Application deadline for fellowships starting in September 2025: January 20, 2025.

Through the generous support of the Leon Levy Foundation, the Center for Jewish History invites applications for the 10-month Leon Levy Fellowship. The stipend is $55,000 for 10-months.
