BIGSSS-HWK Visiting Fellowship in Northern Germany

The BIGSSS-HWK Visiting Fellowship is an international researcher mobility program offering a 6-month research stay at two renowned academic institutions in the social sciences: The Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK), one of Germanys leading institutes for advanced study across disciplines, is a foundation of the federal states of Bremen and Lower Saxony and the city of Delmenhorst. The Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences is an inter-university institute of the University of Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen supported by the German Excellence Initiative.

ASCL-IIAS Fellowship on Asian-African Interactions

The ASC-IIAS fellowship is intended for researchers specialising in Asian-African interactions.

This fellowship is jointly offered by IIAS and the African Studies Centre Leiden.

Eligibility

An applicant must demonstrate an established record of research, preferably with publications in refereed academic journals, and must hold a position at least equivalent to Assistant Professor at the applicant’s home institution.

Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (P.R.I.M.E.)

In 2014 the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) initiated the PRIME programme to support the international mobility of postdoctoral researchers by temporary positions at German universities in place of conventional stipends. With completing the programme’s pilot phase that was partially co-financed by the EU, DAAD has successfully established this funding instrument and continues the programme since 2019 with support from the national funding provider, the BMBF.
