Post-doctoral Fellowships in Study of Violence

The Center for the Study of Violence of the University of São Paulo is selecting three post-doctoral fellows to develop research projects in "Building Democracy Daily: human rights, violence and institutional trust" program, with duration of one to three years.

The objective of the research program is to analyze how the legitimacy of key institutions for democracy is constructed or jeopardized, by exploring the contacts between citizens and civil servants from local public services in representative areas of the city of São Paulo. 

Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cape Town

The A.W. Mellon foundation has provided funding for postdoctoral fellowships in the Faculty of Humanities for 2016.

The Fellowships are open to candidates in the Social Sciences, Humanities and the Performing and Creative Arts who were awarded their PhD degrees no earlier than June 2011, and who wish to carry out research in their specific discipline or a directly cognate discipline. Candidates may not be registered for any degree at the time of taking up the Fellowship. Individuals who have held full-time academic posts since obtaining a PhD are ineligible to apply.

Graduate awards

The graduate awards are for scholars who have obtained above-average results in their degree studies and wish to document the conceptual context of their research project, to be realised in Weimar, by means of a dissertation or equivalent scientific work. An assessment approving the research project must be enclosed with the application.

IPODI Postdoctoral Fellowships for Female Researchers at TU Berlin

The International Post-Doc Initiative (IPODI) is part of the gender equality strategy of the Technische Universität Berlin and aims at increasing the number of female researchers in leadership positions. IPODI awards seven Incoming Postdoctoral Fellowships (salary comparable to E 13/E 14 TV-L).

The IPODI Fellowship Programme is open to outstanding (female) researchers of all nationalities and from all fields of research represented at the TU Berlin. IPODI Fellows will find excellent research conditions in one of the seven faculties of the TU Berlin.
