The Harvard Program for Embedded EthiCS invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship based in the Philosophy Department beginning July 1, 2020. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to spend 50% of their time working with the Embedded EthiCS program and 50% of their time on their own independent research.
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Bergen, Norway, has a vacant three year Postdoctoral Fellowship as part of the project “Mathematics with a Human Face: Set Theory within a Naturalized Wittgensteinean Framework”. The project is led by Professors Sorin Bangu and Kevin Cahill, and is financed by the Research Council of Norway. The starting date for the fellowship is 1 August 2020.

While we interpret animal ethics, law and politics broadly, and welcome applications from various disciplines that study human-animal relations including political science, law, philosophy, sociology and environmental studies, we are looking in particular for research that critically examines the moral, legal and political dimensions of how humananimal relations are governed.
