The Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw)

ZonMw is the Dutch national organisation for health research and healthcare innovation. As an intermediary between science and society, ZonMw works to improve disease prevention, healthcare and health by stimulating and funding research, development and implementation. ZonMw supports knowledge enhancement, quality and innovation in health research and in healthcare.

The organisation covers the entire spectrum, from fundamental health research to healthcare practice – from preventive and curative healthcare to youth care services. ZonMw’s main commissioning bodies are the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research.
