WaterWorks2015

The WaterWorks2015 ERA-NET Cofund was launched in January 2016 in support of the Water JPI, as a result of a joint collaborative effort with the FACCE JPI. It is funded by the EC under H2020. WaterWorks2015 aims at tackling water challenges at European and international levels through the development of transnational and transdisciplinary research and innovation actions.

WaterWorks2015 addresses especially the challenges of:

Rannís Grants of Excellence to Icelandic Research Institutions

The Icelandic Research Fund (IRF) is an open competitive fund which provides research grants according to the general priorities of the Icelandic Science and Technology Policy Council and based on peer review of proposals.

The role of the IRF is to enhance scientific research (basic and applied) and research education in Iceland. For this purpose the IRF awards funding to research students and research projects led by individuals, research teams, universities, research institutes, and companies (cf. Act 3/2003 with later amendments).

CNRS Call for International Joint Research Projects (PICS)

A PICS is a joint research program aimed at supporting joint research projects carried out by two teams, one from CNRS and one from abroad. Funding required by the cooperation to support exchanges comes from both partners. In situations where cooperation with a foreign partner is well-established, and has resulted in joint publications in scientific journals, it is possible to formalize the relationship through PICS.

Besides the PICS call for proposals, CNRS jointly organizes calls for joint research projects (PRC) with specific partner institutions abroad.
