IASH Senior Anniversary Fellowship

“Bridge-building is my vocation.” – Prof. David Daiches, IASH Director 1980-86

IASH was founded in 1969 with the pursuit of intellectual understanding as its highest priority. Interdisciplinarity and creativity have defined its history ever since. In our 50th anniversary year, we have created new Fellowships for the most promising scholars in the arts, humanities and social sciences. A Senior Anniversary Fellowship is available to established scholars with more than 10 years’ experience in higher education.

IAS Vanguard Fellowships Programme at the University of Birmingham

This programme aims to attract outstanding early and mid-career researchers from global leading institutions, operating at the cutting edge of their disciplines, to work collaboratively with colleagues at the University of Birmingham.
Colleagues will focus on new and existing areas - topics that are timely, relevant, address national and international priorities, and cross disciplinary boundaries.

Reuters Institute Journalist Fellowships

The Journalist Fellowship Programme at the Reuters Institute is one of the world’s leading schemes for practising, mid-career journalists to take some time out from their day jobs to explore journalism in depth. The majority of our Journalist Fellows are fully-funded and they also receive a stipend to cover living and travel costs.

Applications are now open for fellowships for the 2026-27 academic year.
