Researchers with long-term fellowships spend four to nine months immersed in the Newberry collection and in our community of learning. While pursuing significant works of scholarship, they make discoveries, present works in progress, and take their projects to the next level.

Lady Davis Fellowship Trust Visiting Professorships at Hebrew University

The Lady Davis Fellowship Trust was established 49 years ago in 1973 to provide an opportunity for Visiting Professors, Post-Doctoral Researchers and Doctoral Students from abroad, regardless of nationality, gender or field of scholarship to teach, study and participate in research in Israel at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa.

What is a Distinguished NIAS-Lorentz Fellowship?

The Distinguished NIAS-Lorentz Fellowship (DNLF) is awarded annually to a leading researcher to work on innovative research that bridges the humanities and/or social sciences with the natural and/or technological sciences. Distinguished NIAS-Lorentz Fellows may be nominated by leading figures in the Dutch academic community. The NIAS-Lorentz Fellowship Board evaluates the DNLF nominations.

Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellows┋Rice Seminar

In conjunction with the Rice Seminars, the Humanities Research Center at Rice University hosts yearlong residential fellowships for outstanding junio scholars. The Rice Seminars are designed to promote humanistic research, broadly understood. They bring together a select group of Rice faculty members, visiting faculty, and Rice graduate students to study a common theme from several disciplinary perspectives.

MMCA South Korea International Artists/Researchers Residency Program

MMCA Residency run by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), is pleased to announce calls for the International Artist/Researcher Residency Program 2024.

We are now receiving applications from artists and researchers working in diverse artistic disciplines and conducting professional research projects.

The programs will provide opportunities to engage in creative exchanges with prominent art professionals and various residency programs including exhibitions, open studios and other cultural events in a supportive environment.

University of Michigan President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

In 2011, the University of Michigan joined in a collaborative partnership with the University of California to offer postdoctoral fellowship opportunities at the University of Michigan. In this program, the University of Michigan now offers postdoctoral research fellowships in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), economics, and political science, coupled with faculty mentoring, professional development, and academic networking opportunities.
