The Science in Human Culture Program (SHC) at Northwestern University invites applications for two-year postdoctoral fellowships in the contextual study of science, technology, or medicine, to run September 1, 2027 - August 31, 2029. Applications are welcome from scholars who study science, technology, or medicine in any region of the world, in any time period, and from any of a range of historical, philosophical, sociological, anthropological, or literary/cultural perspectives.

ince its inception, The International Institute for Holocaust Research has sought to encourage and support worldwide scholarly research on the Holocaust, and foster a new generation of scholars. As part of this endeavor, the Research Institute is pleased to offer two-to-four-month fellowships to support research on the Holocaust, its antecedents, and aftermath. Our program is open to those who have received a PhD, JD, MD, or a Licentiate in Theology.

The Department of Black Studies at Northwestern University invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship with a start date of September 1, 2024. Candidates with PhDs granted between 2022 and the start date are encouraged to apply. Candidates can be from any (inter-) discipline, but should have a commitment to the field of Black Studies, and have a research and teaching profile in Black histories in the Americas, addressing environmental studies and/or health. This is a residential fellowship.

The American University of Beirut invites applications for its Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Arts and Humanities, which begins in September 2019. The duration of appointment will be 10 months. Appointees will be attached to a relevant department and will be expected to remain in residence for the duration of the academic year.

The one-semester in-residence fellowship appointments seek to facilitate the completion and/or publication of academic work related to the Society of Jesus. Preference will be given to applications that propose publication projects for the Institute of Jesuit Sources and IJS Studies during their fellowship at the Institute. Applications are now welcomed from scholars in the fields of history, spirituality, and pedagogy, among others. The submission deadline is January 1, 2026.
