Interdisciplinary and General Ethics Fellowships at Stanford

Applications are now open for our 2026-27 fellowship positions. 

For 2026-27, the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford seeks to appoint up to four postdoctoral fellows across the two programs described below. The two types of fellows have some distinct training opportunities and responsibilities, but they form a common community at the Center and participate together in the Center’s intellectual life. All applicants will be considered for both types of fellowships and do not need to tailor their application for one or the other fellowship.

Within this call, The Novo Nordisk Foundation invites researchers to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship within art history, practice-based artistic or curatorial research, or interdisciplinary research in art theory & natural sciences.  

Novo Nordisk Project Grants for Research in Art History

The purpose of this grant is to give talented researchers within art history the opportunity to carry out research projects of high academic quality that can make a significant contribution to the field of art history in Denmark.

Research Field

Project proposals can address art history research within all time periods from prehistoric to modern times in a Danish or International context. The project proposal must demonstrate academic relevance for the research environment at the Danish host institution.

External Suzy Newhouse Faculty Fellowships at Wellesley College

The Suzy Newhouse Center fellows’ community consists of Wellesley faculty on sabbatical, the undergraduate fellows of the Mellon Mays program, and normally three or four scholars and artists from outside the college. All fellows are required to engage in Suzy Newhouse Center programs and give a public presentation in the spring.
