The Obermann Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Iowa now offers flexible fellowships for international researchers and artists to develop collaborations and pursue independent work at our beautiful Iowa City campus. Obermann International Fellowships are funded by the University of Iowa's Obermann Center for Advanced Studies with generous additional support from International Programs.
The Lanker Research Award supports research in the Lanker archive by any interested party, including traveling researchers and individuals associated with the University of Oregon. Awards of $4,000 may be used to defray travel expenses, living expenses, or research costs. Award recipients should be aware that, depending on their status and country of origin, the US government may consider their award taxable income.
The John Nolen Research Fund, established through the generosity of the Nolen family, provides assistance to scholars to conduct research in the John Nolen Papers (#2903) and allied collections in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections (RMC) of the Cornell University Library. Any qualified researcher interested in the history of city and regional planning before 1950 with a project that can be augmented by using the Nolen Papers is eligible to apply.

Since 2002, Cornell University Library has been able to offer select scholars financial assistance for expenses incurred when they come to conduct research on sexuality with sources in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections (RMC). The Phil Zwickler Memorial Research Grants, made possible through the generosity of the Phil Zwickler Charitable and Memorial Foundation, have assisted numerous exciting projects. Applications are due by May 31. Awards will be made within a month, and research must be completed within a year.
