T.B.L. Webster Fellowship

The T. B. L. Webster Fellowship was inaugurated in 1999. Professor E. J. Jory (Western Australia) was appointed as the first Webster Fellow. The Fellowship is awarded to scholars from universities outside the UK whose research interests are in ancient theatre and performance and its reception OR in classical art and archaeology. The successful candidate is expected to spend a minimum of six weeks at the Institute although the Fellowship may be held flexibly within one academic year.

Dorothy Tarrant Fellowship

The Dorothy Tarrant Fellowship is a recently inaugurated fellowship, set up to commemorate the contribution of a pioneering figure in UK classics. The Fellowship is awarded to scholars from universities outside the UK with research interests in any field of classical studies. The successful candidate is expected to spend a minimum of six weeks at the Institute. Applicants are invited to make a proposal for an event or training activity to be carried out at the ICS during their stay.

University of Erfurt POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR FEMALE RESEARCHERS

According to the “Thuringian Programme for Funding of Young Female Academics and Artists”, the University of Erfurt advertises initialisation scholarships.

This scholarship is meant to finance postdoctoral researchers that intend to apply to third-party funding, or participate in the application process of larger projects at the University of Erfurt. The tender has no thematic restrictions. A subject-related connection of the project to the Gotha Research Centre or the Centre for Transcultural Studies / Perthes Collection would be preferable but is not required.

MSCA POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS AT THE EFR

Over the past few years the École française de Rome (hereafter EFR) has successfully acted as host institution for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships (hereafter MSCA-PF) awarded by the European Commission. If you are interested in applying for a MSCA-PF in archaeology, history, social sciences and your research work is related either to Rome, Italy, Maghreb or to the South-Eastern countries close to the Adriatic coast, EFR is the Host Institution you are looking for.
