Applications are invited for appointment to a College Lectureship in in Modern History and Politics, together with a Fellowship, tenable for five years in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment to the retiring age. The successful applicant will be expected to provide a significant number of supervisions across three interlinked Triposes: History, History & Politics, and Human, Social and Political Sciences (for Politics papers) as well as assisting with direction of studies and admissions.
Applications are invited for Ad Astra Fellowships within the UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. Candidates must have a PhD in one of the Subject Areas taught within the School (French; German; Italian; Linguistics; Portuguese; Spanish). Preference may be given to candidates working in School fields that are new or expanding. A university teaching qualification or demonstrable engagement with continuous professional development in pedagogy and pedagogic innovation is welcome. Candidates with demonstrable EDI awareness are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Institute for the History of the German Jews (IGdJ) is a member of the Joseph Carlebach Working Group (CAK) at the University of Hamburg. Founded in 1991, CAK is committed to promote teaching and research on Jewish history, culture and religion in Hamburg and foster academic exchange between Germany and Israel.
MIT Libraries’ Department of Distinctive Collections (DDC) is seeking applicants for its 2023 Women@MIT Fellowship. We invite artists, activists, musicians, writers, and scholars who are engaged in the expansion and expression of knowledge to help inform the understanding of women in MIT’s history and the history of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The Resnick Fellowship at the National Library of Israel brings leading scholars from around the world to Jerusalem for an intensive research residency grounded in the Library’s five core collections: Israel, Judaica, Islam and the Middle East, General Humanities, and Israeli and Jewish Music. Fellows also have access to the extensive holdings of the Central Archives for the Jewish People (CAJP), housed at the Library. Each year, a small cohort of Fellows is selected through a highly competitive international process.
With the generous support of Farman-Farmaian Family, the IISH launches a new fellowship programme named the Prince Dr Sabbar Farman-Farmaian Fellowships for scholars who wish to use its collections for the study of social and economic history of 18-20 century of Iran, whether from a regional, national, or comparative and transnational perspective.
