UWA Institute of Advanced Studies Visiting Fellowships

The Institute of Advanced Studies plays a central role in facilitating interdisciplinary research collaborations between UWA’s scholars and leading researchers from across Australia and the world, with a mission of further enhancing the University's global research profile.

Institute of Advanced Studies Visiting Fellowships are designed to foster Interdisciplinarity in research, by supporting visits from leading Australian and International scholars across all disciplines to visit The University of Western Australia.

HWK DELMENHORST Postdoc Program

The promotion of young researchers is of special interest to the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg. For this purpose, the HWK Postdoc Program was created, which aims to support talented regional early career researchers from all academic disciplines by organizing their own workshop and by giving them the opportunity to participate in HWK events and networks. Membership within the Postdoc Program is limited to a period of three years.

RUSSELL SAGE FOUNDATION Visiting Researchers Program

On an occasional basis, the Foundation has one or two available office spaces and considers applications for short-term fellowships by scholars who are conducting research relevant to the Foundation’s priority areas. These positions do not come with any Foundation financial support and are available for visits up to five months, between September 1 and June 30, as space permits. In rare circumstances, visits up to ten months may be considered.

Tampere IAS Research Fellowships

The Tampere Institute for Advanced Study offers three types of researcher positions:

  • Postdoctoral Research Fellow
  • Senior Research Fellow
  • Professorial Research Fellow*

On 4 February-3 March 2025, the Tampere IAS will call for applications for nine (9) two-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and for six (6) three-year Senior Research Fellowships.

*Decisions about making Professorial Research Fellowships available will be made later.
