Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellows Programme

The Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellows Programme honours Professor Wang Gungwu, former Chairman of the Board of Trustees at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute (ISEAS) for his distinguished tenure of 17 years at the Institute.

The programme aims to build the next generation of scholars and policy makers exploring the nexus of big-power relations and its impact on Southeast Asia through policy relevant research on international politics and security, regional economics and digital technology, in the following priority areas of research:

Visiting Fellowship in History of science, technology and medicine

A Visiting Fellowship is offered each year in Trinity Term (8 weeks from 23rd April to 17th June with a possible extension to the full three months) at the Maison Française in the History of Science, Medicine and Technology.

Applications for 2026 should be sent before 15th June 2025 to the History of Science Committee for the Maison Française d’Oxford (secretary@mfo.ac.uk). The application includes a research proposal – maximum 1000 words – and a short CV in English (no more than one-page).
