CALAS Guest Chair Germany: Bielefeld & Kassel

The Maria Sibylla Merian Center for Advanced Latin American Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences (CALAS) in conjunction with the universities of Bielefeld and Kassel would like to announce a grant for the position of Visiting Professor from the CALAS Guest Chair Germany. The program is jointly organized by the Center of Interamerican Studies at the University of Bielefeld (CIAS) and the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Kassel (CELA).

Joan Shorenstein Fellowships

Self-directed fellowship for leaders and scholars working at the intersection of media, technology, politics, and public policy.

Since its founding in 1986, the Shorenstein Center has hosted fellows from across media, technology, politics, and public policy to explore how essential information is created, conveyed, and consumed. Our fellowship program is central to this mission.

ISER Research Grant

ISER Research Grants (up to $8,000 each) are available to Memorial University graduate students and faculty members, as well as independent scholars and faculty members from other Universities, to help defray the costs of such items as travel, subsistence, research assistance and materials and supplies for carrying out an approved research project; capital expenditures are not eligible. Applications are evaluated by an Awards Panel according to their relevance to the ISER mandate and the merits of the proposals and the applicants. HSS applicants are given priority.
