Depuis 2004, l’Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA) et le Comité des travaux historiques et scientifiques (CTHS) décernent le prix de thèse « L’Art et l’Essai ». Destiné à soutenir les travaux de recherche en histoire de l’art, il permet la publication de deux thèses par an.
L’IFAS-Recherche (UMIFRE 25, MEAE/CNRS — Institut français d’Afrique du Sud) encourage et soutient la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales en Afrique australe. L’IFAS-Recherche finance chaque année des projets de recherche, soit individuels (missions de terrain, enquêtes, séjours en archives et en bibliothèque, etc.), soit collectifs (enquêtes collectives, organisation de manifestations scientifiques, etc.).

The Estelle Freedman Award is a research travel award given out by the CLGBTH for scholars applying feminist analysis to LBGTQ history, from any historical time period or region. The award is named in honor of Estelle Freedman, a pathbreaking historian in US women’s history and feminist studies. Professor Freedman taught at Stanford from 1976 to 2021, where she cofounded the Program in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her prolific scholarship includes prison reform, lesbian history, and the politics of sexuality.
